Effective Date: June 2026

TrailMark respects your privacy. TrailMark is designed as a local-first app for saving places, photos, notes, and retrace paths on your device.

Information We Collect: TrailMark does not require account creation. We do not collect your name, email address, or personal account information through the app.

TrailMarks you create are stored locally on your device. This may include TrailMark titles, categories, notes, saved locations, coordinates, photos, favorite status, saved dates, and retrace path points.

Location: TrailMark uses your device location so you can save a TrailMark, find your way back to a saved place, and record a retrace path when you choose to use that feature.

Retrace path recording starts only when you manually choose to record a path. TrailMark may request location access while the app is in use and, when needed, while recording continues in the background or while your phone is locked. TrailMark does not record your location unless a location-based feature is active.

Saved location data and retrace path points are stored locally on your device. TrailMark does not send your location data to our servers.

Camera and Photo Library: TrailMark may request access to your camera and photo library so you can capture or select photos for your saved TrailMarks. Photos you add are used only for your saved TrailMarks and are stored locally on your device.

Sharing: When you share a TrailMark, you choose where to send or save it using Apple’s share sheet. Shared TrailMark text may include the TrailMark title, category, saved date, note, coordinates, and an Apple Maps link. If you share information with another app, service, person, or storage provider, that third party’s privacy practices may apply.

Purchases: In-app purchases are handled securely through Apple’s App Store. We do not have access to your payment information.

Support: If you contact support by email, we may receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, screenshots, or details about an issue. This information is used only to respond to your support request.

Data Storage: TrailMark stores app data locally on your device. If you delete the app, lose your device, or delete TrailMark data, your saved TrailMarks, photos, notes, and retrace paths may be lost unless you have backed them up through your device or iCloud backup settings.

Children’s Privacy: TrailMark is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy: We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page.
